Why Do You Need to Groom Dogs?

Professional dog grooming lends itself to a host of benefits for canines of all breeds. First and foremost, with proper bathing and grooming, your dog will look and smell their best, eliminating household odors at the same time.

If left unattended, an ungroomed dog can develop unhealthy and painful side effects. For example, matted hair can irritate your dog's skin, and untrimmed hair in the ear canal makes your pup vulnerable to ear infections. These are just two examples among many more potentially harmful consequences of leaving your dog ungroomed.

Finally, a trained professional will be able to detect potential health issues during a grooming session. A specialist will be able to notify you if your pet has any bumps, lumps, irritations, and swelling in areas that you might not notice day-to-day.

In summary, there are countless health and hygiene advantages to grooming your dog. Feel free to contact us to learn more about them!

Why Is it Important to Treat Your Dogs to Regular Nail Care Treatments?

Failing to have the nails of your dog clipped and maintained correctly could prove extremely costly for your home. Wooden floors, freshly painted walls or wooden chair and table legs could all become a playground for a dog with excessively long nails. To ensure the upkeep of your home, you need to treat your pet to regular nail care treatments.

That being said, as bad as long nails are for your home, they are a lot worse for your pet. Failing to cut your pet's nails can result in injuries ranging from torn nails, bleeding, and discomfort. This is particularly true for dogs' nails as they are curved, so if they grow too long, they can dig into their paw pads and cause extreme pain. Having long nails can also cause back injury and discomfort. To avoid inflicting this level of pain on your pet, make sure that their nails are treated regularly.
